STEFANÍA
ABOUT ME
I’m Stefi, born in Buenos Aires, and for the past two years I’ve been living in Munich. Creativity has always guided me: I’m a video editor and currently a graphic design student. But along the way I discovered something deeper. I realized I wasn’t just a designer—I was an artist. Graphic design taught me that a designer must follow rules, convey a client’s message, and remain invisible. An artist, on the other hand, creates from their own perception and inner world. There are no rules. That was the moment I recognized myself: this is who I am. I began taking private art classes without knowing where they would lead me, investing my savings and all my energy into painting. I started living on my own in Argentina at 19, and at 22 I made the move to Germany. Solitude had always been part of my life—something I constantly struggled with. But through painting, I embraced that solitude and transformed it into art. When I paint, I don’t feel lonely or insecure. My mind is completely focused on one thing: bringing the canvas to life. That moment of total immersion is what I love most about making art.
EXHIBITIONS
I am creating a series of paintings that are connected to one another. Within the series, each work belongs to a diptych: two pieces that converse as antonyms. I use color to portray that bond and its contrast.
I’ve been living away from my country for a few years, and this series reflects what it feels like to exist between home and daily exile: being at home and, at the same time, far from home.
